Her background as a professional actor, theater director, and film director allows her to understand performances from every angle—both in front of and behind the camera—which makes her especially effective at matching the right actor to the right role.
What sets Abby apart is her ability to see beyond the surface. She knows how to recognize not just who fits a character, but who will bring depth, truth, and nuance to it. As the owner of Abby Rey Studios, she has spent the past five years working closely with actors on self-taped auditions, giving her unique insight into how actors prepare, perform, and present themselves in today’s industry. This hands-on experience keeps her closely connected to the current talent pool and industry standards.
In addition, Abby runs the Academy of Dramatic and Cinematic Arts, where she teaches on-camera acting. Her ongoing work as a coach keeps her in tune with emerging talent and allows her to build strong, trusted relationships with actors.
